Blizzard’s Hearthstone brings huge updates with the Felfire Festival

From the beginning of this month to the next, Hearthstone by Blizzard has juicy updates which include FREE, five-chapter Solo Adventure with new heroes, hero powers, and cards. Tavern brawls and battlegrounds also get some love.

Here are the complete schedule:

10 JUNE – PIRATES X BATTLEGROUNDS

The first headliner of the Felfire Festival brings Pirates to Battlegrounds! Meet 17 new minions and 4 new heroes in this massive update – including a reprise of Patches with a swashbuckling new Hero Power.

18 JUNE – TRIAL BY FELFIRE STORY ADVENTURE

Follow the story of Aranna Starseeker in this FREE, five-chapter Solo Adventure as she embarks on a journey of self-exploration, assembles a crew of outcasts, and teams up with Illidan and the Demon Hunters to take on the twisted architect of the Rusted Legion: Mecha-Jaraxxus!

Aranna will also be entering the Battlegrounds on 17 June as an early-access Hero for players with Battlegrounds Perks before she officially joins the fray on 30 June.

25 JUNE – TRIAL BY FELFIRE CHALLENGES

Build a deck and take on some of Outland’s biggest and baddest raid bosses!

25 JUNE – RETURN OF THE BURNDOWN TAVERN BRAWL

The Burndown Tavern Brawl returns! Take control of a random deck, and the loser of each brawl will be given their opponent’s deck for the next one. Which deck will reign supreme?

2 JULY – THE RUMBLEDOME TAVERN BRAWL

Rounding out the Felfire Festival line-up is the Rumbledome Tavern Brawl! Choose an Outland henchman from Trial by Felfire, grab a weapon, and battle it out for a spot in Mecha-Jaraxxus’ Rusted Legion.

FEL-INFUSED REWARDS

No festival goer leaves empty-handed!

  • Completing the Trial by Felfire Solo Adventure: Rusted Legion Card Back
  • Completing the Trial by Felfire Challenges: Golden Kael’thas Sunstrider card
  • The Burndown & The Rumbledome Brawls: Classic Pack
  • Legendary Quests: Up to 9 card packs from Year of the Dragon and Ashes of Outland

The Aranna Starseeker Bundle, which includes the Aranna Starseeker Demon Hunter Hero, 20 Ashes of Outland packs, and the Aranna Card Back, is available from 18 June to 7 July.

Normally Blizzard would give the first chapter of a new Solo Adventure for free and the rest can be unlocked using the in-game coins or through the shop with real money. This is definitely a nice gesture and brings some freshness to the game. Those who prefer playing Hearthstone at its own pace through the Solo Adventure should be thrilled to give this a go.

The adventure is fun with new strategies, decks, and a change of pace every now and then. There are also plenty of rounds and chapters to play which should keep you going for hours. And remember, these are free contents!

Make sure to check our coverage on the expansion itself, Ashes of Outlands which introduces a new Demon Hunter class and 135 new cards.

If you haven’t been back to Hearthstone after a while, this is a great chance to earn those recent card packs and complete your decks!
