ANCAP (Australasian New Car Assessment Program) has given the Tesla Model 3 EV a 5-star ANCAP safety rating, the highest possible rating that a car can get.

According to ANCAP report, “a score of 96% was achieved by the Tesla Model 3 for Adult Occupant Protection with full points achieved for the driver in three of four destructive crash tests”.

Tesla Model 3 EV gets the full points of safety for a head-on crash to front passengers and even for child occupants in the side impact test. The car also receives a score of 94% for Safety Assist – which is the highest Safety Assist score achieved against current protocols. The car has an emergency lane-keeping which actively intervenes to avoid steering into the path of an oncoming or adjacent vehicle, among other safety assist features.

This is certainly great news for those who already ordered a Tesla 3 here in Australia.
