Far Cry 5 is out NOW

Far Cry 5

Far Cry 5, the latest instalment of the Far Cry Universe (check out my review on the Far Cry 3 which was my game of the year 2012 – time flies!) by Ubisoft is now available on Windows PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

Far Cry 5 was developed by Ubisoft Montreal and is a first person shooter in an open world. This time, it is set in America filled with violence and suffering thanks to a fanatical doomsday cult, the Project at Eden’s Gate, who wants to takeover the Hope County, Montana.

You will join forces with the residents of Hope County (which includes dogs) by forming a resistance and takes out the Cult’s forces and their lieutenants.

First in the series, you’ll be able to play the entire game in co-op as well should you choose to. If you think you’ll be able to enjoy the game more in Solo, you can recruit up to 2 AI mercenaries with different skill sets to help you in battle.

Far Cry 5 can be purchased through major retailers in Australia and also at Ubi Store Australia for A$89.95 for the Standard Edition. You can also purchase the Far Cry 5 Gold Edition (A$139.95) which includes the base game, season pass (includes more unlocked stories, contents, gears, and upcoming DLCs), along with bonus contents like equipment packs.

It’ll be exciting to see how far the series have come and from the looks of the first impressions on the game (watched them a couple of weeks back), Far Cry 5 looks like to be better and more grandeur in so many ways and does not feel like a recycle of the previous series.
