Belkin 3-in-1 Foldable Magnetic Charger is one of those gadgets that just fit right into daily life, especially if you are using multiple Apple or Qi2 devices. Having used it every day for quite some time now, the convenience stands out right away.
Belkin UltraCharge 3-in-1 Foldable Magnetic Charger is a premium charging solution for those needing to power multiple devices simultaneously. The included power supply draws 45W which travels via the provided 1.5m USB-C cable to the charging station.
From there, it offers up to 25W fast wireless charging for MagSafe and Qi2 compatible devices. Don’t worry about it overheating: this device has ChillBoost passive cooling technology, engineered to reduce heat during fast charging. It also has Over-Voltage Protection, Short-Circuit Detection, Overload Detection, Current Detection — and most importantly, it is made out of fire-resistant materials.
The station also wireless charges AirPods up to 5W. In terms of design, the charging stand is built with an adjustable tilt feature, which allows users to position their phone at the most convenient angle for viewing notifications, using StandBy mode, or making video calls, all while charging.
What makes this charger really awesome is daily convenience: instead of plugging in three devices every night, you simply snap your iPhone, put on your Apple Watch, and place your AirPods (that supports wireless charging). The 3-in-1 design also turns charging into a visual reminder: every time I pick up my phone, I remember to put on my watch too. The magnetic snap strikes an ideal balance between strength and convenience. The magnetic connection is robust and secure, ensuring it still charges through most cases, and making sure devices don’t accidentally slip off or disconnect even if nudged, and the entire stand feels reassuringly sturdy with a weighted base. At the same time, it’s smooth to just peel your phone off the magnet with one hand when heading out, leaving the base perfectly in place.
Obviously, one of the main reasons they made the charger foldable is so traveling with it is a breeze. Coming at 10.59cm x 5.9.9cm x 2.68cm, it makes it super easy to bring along whether heading to a hotel, coffee shop, or another room in the house. No need to juggle multiple chargers or untangle cords on the go; instead, it’s just a matter of unfolding it, snapping on devices, and plugging in anywhere.
One thing that’s definitely on my wishlist for this product is a travel case and compatible international power plugs included in the box, preferably in one power supply with plugs that are configurable for different countries, like those all-in-one international adapters. This would be a game changer since we’d no longer have to find and buy a separate power adapter that can fully support the device. If they include these, it would make the charger even more appealing, turning it into a must-have for avid travellers.
With 2-year warranty and $2,500 Connected Equipment Warranty (CEW), Belkin UltraCharge 3-in-1 Foldable Magnetic Charger is available in Black, Blue, and White (for Australian users, the only Black variant is available for the time being) – and retails for A$169.95. The charger comes in two forms: square and round. Whilst the round form is fractionally lighter and smaller (by a hairline), both versions provide identical charging performance and features, simply catering to personal aesthetic and space preferences.
