Yesterday, Beats Electronics LLC announced 2 new headphones, based on their existing popular headphones – the Solo2 and PowerBeats2. These two headphones will be widely available in July 2014 (and already available now on a few selected retailers, if you can’t wait to get a hands on one).
According to Beats, the original Solo is one of their most popular headphones to date: about 4 Beats Solo headphone were sold every minute in the U.S in 2013, which is quite an amazing stat. Lots of people are wearing one too here in Melbourne (with Red seems to be the most popular color).
It would be interesting to see if the new Solo2 can beat this record. The Solo2 will have a wider range of sound, with more clarity. The design is quite similar, though a few things have been changed a bit for more comfort while you wear it.
The Beats Solo2 headphone will retail around AU$259.
If you love working out, you would probably go for the PowerBeats2, featuring a wireless earphone with the sleek design that you like about Beats headphones. The headsets are IPX4 water and sweat resistant, perfect for joggers out in the rain or if are just gymming.
The battery lasts around 6 hours via Bluetooth, which should last longer than you can exercise.
The Beats PowerBeats 2 Wireless Earphones will retail around AU$259
