Telstra just announced data plans for the upcoming iPad in Australia (see figures above), beginning 28th of May, 2010. All of these data plans will be available without a contract, so if you have already bought an iPad, you will be free to change to different data plans from different provides, if there is any in the future.
I think 1 GB will be used up pretty quickly though, unless if you are always on a free Wi-fi at the comfort of your home.
