OPPO Australia has officially launched its highly anticipated Find X8 Pro flagship smartphone. Available now at JB Hi-Fi and OPPO’s Online Store for A$1,799, the device introduces significant advances in camera technology, AI capabilities, and battery life.
The Find X8 Pro features the new Hasselblad Master Camera System with a 50MP quad-camera setup, including two periscope cameras – a first for the global smartphone market. The system incorporates a 135mm (6x) periscope camera and an enhanced 23mm wide-angle sensor, paired with OPPO’s triple prism technology and the flagship 50MP Sony LYT600 sensor.
Photography capabilities include AI Telescope Zoom supporting 60x magnification, Lightning Snap for rapid-fire shooting at seven frames per second, and Dolby Vision HDR video recording at 4K/60fps across all cameras. A new Quick Button on the device’s side provides instant camera access and zoom control.
Powering the device is MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9400 chipset and a substantial 5910mAh silicon-carbon battery. The phone supports 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging.
The Find X8 Pro debuts ColorOS 15, built on Android 15, with enhanced AI features including OPPO AI Eraser, AI Clarity Enhance, and AI Studio for content creation. The system includes practical AI tools for productivity, such as automatic transcription and summarisation, plus integration with Google Circle to Search and Gemini assistant.
Display specifications include a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,600 nits peak brightness, and HDR support up to 4500 nits. The device features a slim 1.9mm bezel design with quad-curved glass, available in Space Black and Pearl White finishes.
