LASER Retro Gaming Projector brings Arcade nostalgia to Australian homes

LASER has launched its new Retro Gaming Projector, combining portable projection technology with classic gaming in a single device that transforms any space into an arcade. The all-in-one entertainment system comes pre-loaded with over 80 officially licensed games and built-in emulator support for multiple retro consoles.

The Australian-made device targets retro gaming enthusiasts and casual players looking for big-screen gaming experiences. With games like Street Racer and World Rally already installed, users can start playing immediately without additional downloads or setup requirements. The projector supports ROM emulation for popular consoles including NES, SNES, Mega Drive, SEGA Genesis, N64, Game Boy, GBA, Atari, and SNK systems.

The projector creates displays up to 120 inches with auto keystone correction, turning any wall into a gaming screen. Two wireless controllers handle multiplayer gaming, while built-in speakers provide audio without requiring external equipment. HDMI and USB ports allow connections to gaming consoles, DVD players, Nintendo Switch, laptops, and external speakers for enhanced experiences.

Running on Android OS, the device functions beyond gaming as a complete entertainment system. Users can access the Google Play Store, stream content, cast from mobile devices, and download additional games to build custom libraries. The internet connectivity expands the gaming options beyond the pre-loaded titles.

The portable design requires only power connection for setup, making it suitable for different locations and social gaming situations. The included 120-inch cloth screen provides a dedicated projection surface when wall space isn’t optimal.

Built-in emulators support multiple gaming generations, though LASER notes that ROM compatibility varies depending on emulator versions and processing requirements. Performance may differ across titles, particularly for more demanding retro games.

Sounds pretty versatile and awesome to this almost 50-year-old gamer Dad.
