Butterfly on a Wheel (2007) Movie Review

A happy couple, Neil and Abby Randall, is devastated when their little daugther, Sophie Randall, has been kidnapped. What makes it more interesting is that, the kidnappers don’t want a ransom. Pierce Borsnan who plays as the antagonist, seems to have only one goal: to play around and ruin the family’s lives. The lives that the family has built for so many years. What the main motive of the kidnapper is, remains a mistery throughout the movie.

The movie has a lot of twists and plenty of guessing thoughts will come out of your mind. Words like "Ahh.. I think I know why he’s doing this" , "I know who’s behind all this!", "I’m sure this and that will happen next", "Ahh..so that’s why", and so on. A good thumb up to the director for the great storyline and twists. The final twist is, of course, happening at the end of the one-and-a-half-hour movie.

It’s a good movie overall with interesting storyline and twists. I found it weird though that Pierce Borsnan, having seen him playing as James Bond with a British accent, is speaking with Irish accent in the movie (not to mention that he’s the antagonist now).

Despite of a rather non-satisfying ending (in my opinion), I give this movie a 7/10 ^^
