3 Reasons why Razer’s new Gaming Keyboard bring the BlackWidow to shame

Razer Huntsman Elite Keyboard

Razer has just announced a new mechanical gaming keyboard, the Razer Huntsman Elite, and it puts the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate series to shame. There’s also the Razer Huntsman in the new product line for those on a budget.

Well in all honesty. the BlackWidow Chroma V2 is still a masterpiece of its own (which I’m still using at the moment ever since I got it), but the new product line has everything I’d want in a gaming keyboard.

New Opto-Mechanical Switch

Razer’s new Opto-Mechanical Switch (a.k.a the Purple Switch) is even better than Razer’s previous Orange and Green switches. Using a clever optical light sensor inside the switch, Razer has manged to bring an even faster response when you press a key and also triggered with less force.

This will come in handy while I play as Zenyatta in Overwatch – specifically when unleashing his ultimate ability during critical moments where half a second delay matters to winning or losing the match.

Mulfi-Function Digital Dial

Razer Multi Dial on Keyboard

After complaining about the lack of a volume dial on the keyboard on possibly every Razer gaming keyboard review I wrote here at Craving Tech (and possibly fans begging for it), Razer has finally done it!

The new digital dial is even sexier, cooler, and has more functionalities compared to Razer’s competitors like the Logitech G’s!

You can use it to either manage your volume controls or lighting, all customisable within Razer Synapse 3 app.

4-Side Underglow Lighting

Razer Huntsman Elite Underglow

Razer Huntsman Elite also comes with full 4-side underglow and 38 lighting customisation zones. Now your Razer keyboard will look just as cool as the Razer Goliathus Chroma mouse mat!

Both Razer Huntsman and Razer Huntsman Elite are available today (woohoo) and can be purchased at Razer.com. Razer Huntsman is available for AUD $249.95 and Razer Huntsman Elite for AUD $339.95. We should be getting a review unit but will let keep you updated.
