Another Wii Remote Hacks: a 3D Virtual Reality

This time, he was creating a 3D virtual reality look-and-feel using the infrared camera inside Wii remote and mounted infrared sensor bars. The explanation is a bit long at the beginning of the video, but I can assure you by the end of the video, you’d say simply “Wow!”.

This video’s a bit old but it doesn’t take away the impressiveness of it. I don’t know who this guy is but he’s done some really cool stuff with the wii.
Great video!
Yeah I heard it’s old. I only saw him doing another hack long ago. Guess I can be out of date sometimes
I love this. I have been looking at the evolution of video games and Wii has really brought about a revolution in game controllers. It is amazing what J. C. Lee is doing to extend the Wii wiimote further.
Yeah. Wonder what other creative things he’ll come up next
I think this would be alot better if the screen was somehow curved, like a semicircle. Then, it could surround you a bit.

Hm yea that would be cool. I think one day we’ll have our own gaming room with virtual reality. That’d be cool but I’ll be too old to play
