If you are looking for the best wireless earbuds on the market, you might want to check out the latest updates from Jabra, the leader in audio, video and collaboration solutions. Jabra has announced a series of enhancements to its Elite 8 Active and Elite 10 earbuds, which were launched last year and have received rave reviews from users and critics alike – including Craving Tech’s. Make sure to check our Elite 10 review while you are here.
The Elite 8 Active and Elite 10 are designed to deliver superior sound quality, comfort and performance, whether you are listening to music, making calls, or working out. They feature Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which automatically adjusts to your surroundings and blocks out unwanted noise, and HearThrough, which lets you hear what’s going on around you with a touch of a button.
But Jabra is not resting though. The company has been working hard to make these earbuds even better, and has unveiled some exciting updates at CES 2024 with some of the new features and improvements in 2024:
- More control and customisation: In January, you will be able to easily turn on and off the ANC, HearThrough and Sidetone features with a simple toggle. Sidetone is a feature that lets you hear your own voice when you are on a call, so you can adjust your volume and tone. You will also be able to change the voice tone prompts, which guide you through the earbuds’ functions and settings. And if you want to personalise your earbuds even more, you will be able to change their device name as well.
- Clearer calls and better awareness: In March, you will notice a significant improvement in the call clarity of the Elite 10, especially in noisy environments like offices, restaurants and busy streets. Jabra has developed new noise suppression algorithms that can detect and reduce background voices, so you can have clear and uninterrupted conversations. The Elite 8 Active will also benefit from the new algorithms, as well as from an enhanced wind noise detection technology, which will make the ANC and HearThrough more effective in windy conditions. This means you will be able to enjoy your music and calls without being disturbed by the wind or other noises.
The updates will be available in two waves, the first in January 2024 and the second in March 2024. You can get them via the Sound+ app, which is a free download from the App Store or Google Play. The updates are over-the-air, so you don’t need to connect your earbuds to a computer or a cable. Just open the app and follow the instructions.
