Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2 Wireless Gaming Mouse Review

The G PRO X Superlight 2 Wireless Gaming Mouse is part of the latest updates to the G PRO X series. Still riding high as my favorite wireless gaming headset, Logitech’s flagship, the G PRO X 2 Wireless, impresses with its design, comfort, and outstanding sound quality – featuring innovative Graphene drivers (check out our headset review for more details).

While the G PRO X Superlight 2 doesn’t introduce groundbreaking innovations, it remains an excellent wireless gaming mouse, boasting increased precision, faster response, and extended battery life compared to its predecessor.

If you’re on the lookout for a small, lightweight, wireless gaming mouse that delivers exceptional performance, this is the one.

Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2 Wireless Gaming Mouse Review – Design and Features

The G PRO X Superlight 2 mouse shares a striking resemblance to its predecessor, making owners of the first model feel right at home. Designed with those with small hands in mind, like mine, it seems more suitable for a claw and/or fingertip grip, given its lightweight of just 60 grams and compact dimensions.

Inside the mouse, it’s powered by the newest sensor, Hero 2, and Lightforce hybrid optical-mechanical switches for the mouse buttons.

Tailored for serious gamers, including pro players, and even catering to casual gamers who enjoy competitive online gaming, the Logitech Hero 2 sensor offers Pro-level precision with a tracking speed of 500+ IPS and up to 32,000 DPI. Additionally, there is 2,000 Hz polling rate support for the mouse, providing a higher response rate to give you a competitive edge in games.

Through the software, you can tweak settings like lift-off distance and make precise adjustments for the X and Y axes. While these may not be necessary for everyone, hardcore gamers may find joy in personalising the mouse to their preferences.

Gaming without cables has been a seamless experience, and I’m happy to report that I’ve encountered no latency issues so far. The G PRO X Superlight 2 Wireless Gaming Mouse maintains this smooth performance, thanks to Logitech’s LIGHTSPEED wireless technology.

How comfortable is the mouse? Thanks to its lightweight design, gliding the mouse along the mouse pad is effortless, and being featherlight also aids in lifting the mouse repeatedly from the mat. Although the mouse appears to have a symmetrical design, it’s tailored towards right-hand gamers, evident when examining the sides closely.

The sides feature slight recessed areas where your right thumb and ring finger/pinky would rest. These may be subtle but certainly contribute to offering a better, firmer grip on the mouse.

In terms of battery life, the G PRO X Superlight 2 impresses with up to 95 hours of usage, and charging can be done via USB-C.

In Overwatch 2, the G PRO X Superlight 2 truly shines. The accurate and fast-performing sensor proves excellent for both tracking and flicking, especially during tracking-intensive moments. The mouse clicks are responsive and tactile, emitting a satisfying, clicky sound that provides excellent feedback when pressed repeatedly.

Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2 Wireless Gaming Mouse Review Conclusion

It’s evident that the Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2 mouse excels in delivering an exceptional gaming experience. While it may not introduce revolutionary innovations, its focus on precision, response speed, and improve gaming experience make it a standout choice for gamers seeking top-tier performance. There is no RGB here to prolong the battery life and making the mouse lighter – which is a better tradeoff anyway.

The mouse’s design, tailored for those with smaller hands, ensures comfort during extended gaming sessions, while the lightweight construction and thoughtful recessed areas on the sides contribute to a secure grip. The Hero 2 sensor and LIGHTFORCE hybrid optical-mechanical switches deliver pro-level precision and responsiveness, providing a competitive edge in the gaming arena.

Whether you’re a professional gamer or a casual enthusiast who enjoys competitive online play, this wireless gaming mouse proves to be a worthy investment. Its versatility, coupled with customisation options through the software, allows users to fine-tune their gaming setup according to their preferences.

It’s certainly not a mouse for those with larger hands on a palm grip, or for those who prefer a heavier mouse for more sturdiness.
