Overwatch is going five! I actually can’t believe that I’ve been playing this game for five straight years non stop. It’s probably the only game that I’ve played this long (the runner up was Left 4 Dead 2) and still playing it almost every night with a bunch of friends. If you browse all my recent mouse reviews, you’ll also find some Play of the Game or Highlight videos using the reviewed mouse as an example.
As usual, to celebrate the anniversary, Overwatch Anniversary 2021 event is happening from today in Australia, 19 May, until 9 June AEST where you can have fun playing the other game modes like Lucioball, but also grab some new skins, sprays, and emotes!
The most exciting skins to grab are definitely the new Funky Baptiste (Baptiste with Afro!) and Black Cat Sombra:
But there are also other Legendary Skins to collect like Junkfood Junkrat, Venus Moira, and Gladiator Doomfist.
Three Epic skins, Cybermedic Ana, Bird of Paradise Echo, and 8 Ball Wrecking Ball are also up for grabs – which can be collected by playing in Quick Play, Arcade, or Competitive Play.
Plus, to celebrate the 5th anniversary, Overwatch for PC is also on 50% sale (Legendary Edition) or 26% sale (Standard Edition) from today to 29th of May! Definitely the perfect time to get your friends to join in the fun.
Note also that all the skins will be transferred to Overwatch 2 so there is no reason not to collect them now while waiting for the sequel to come out. Don’t forget that there will be a live stream of Overwatch 2 happening in a few days too!
