Razer Megasoma Review

Razer Megasoma is a hybrid of a hard and a soft mouse mat; If you love the softness of a soft mat but want to have the speed of a hard mat, Razer Megasoma delivers (this is debatable and I guess more like a personal preference). Razer Megasoma sits somewhere in between, combining the best [...]

WordPress 2.7 Beta 1

WordPress Logo

I’ve just updated this blog to WordPress 2.7 Beta 1. You may not see much of a difference as a reader yet, but it means a lot to me as the posts’ author and administrator of this blog.

WordPress 2.7 (due to be released some time this month) provides lots of improvements, especially on the administration area. However, I also love one of the new feature: threaded comments! This time it will be easier for me to reply to your comments (and that means other people can interact with your comments too)

Other nice features of WordPress 2.7:

  • Replying comments straight from the Administration Area.
  • Ability to have a “Sticky” post on the top of other posts.
  • Automatic WordPress version upgrade.
  • and many more!

If you are wondering whether WordPress 2.7 Beta 1 is stable enough, I’d say yes. Of course, I haven’t been playing around with it for days (it’s only hours), but I haven’t seen any show-stopping bugs or anything.

Now I’ve just needed to re-code my theme files to support comments threading. This should take a while :( (the tutorial to modify your theme files to support WordPress 2.7 threaded comment is here).

It sounds good. I might want to upgrade it too. :D But, one thing, the font size at the comment section looks so much smaller than the previous one. Or is it just me.. :P

lol being a designer, you surely have the eye of one ;)

I’m still in the process of making the theme works with threaded comments. I was using the default theme’s code+css to make it work and It’s a painful process to transform an old theme. I love the threaded comments support, though!

Will do more tweaking tomorrow

Good luck! The official one should be in the corner by the end of this month if you want to wait a little bit longer
