i have to say , all these updates is really really annoying .
i’m suposed to backup everything each week and update all the plugins EACH WEEK

Yeah it’s great, isn’t it. Just wish they have an auto-update option to the plug-ins too so we don’t have to click them manually to upgrade

Now me too upgraded my wordpress to 2.6 , but manually.
the pluginn of Wordpress auto upgrade comes into picture after i upgraded.
i installed that pluginn in my wordpress recently, looks great.
BTW one of wordpress’s new and best feature is that pluginn area, they divided the Inactive and Active pluginns !

As always, you don’t have to upgrade if you don’t want to, but why?

While upgrades do add new features, most upgrades also address critical security issues. It’s suggested to upgrade ASAP when a new release comes out to prevent your website from being exploited / hacked.

There’s even an automatic upgrade plugin if you don’t feel comfortable upgrading manually: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade/
