WordPress 2.8 RC1

in Software Release

WordPress LogoWordPress 2.8 RC1 was released yesterday over the weekend. If you have the urge to always have the latest and greatest of everything in this world, go grab it! If not, you can always wait for this Wednesday,  10th June for the official WordPress 2.8 release.

Since it’s so easy to upgrade (you can use the WordPress Tools-Upgrade option from the Administration control panel), I upgraded mine from WordPress 2.8 Beta 2 to WordPress 2.8 RC1 without any issues. One of the changelog that I love is the automatically saving during a post draft preview. Previously you have to make sure to save your post draft first before previewing it. Other changes are fixes for bugs that I probably never encountered before.

I think after the 2.8 release would be a good time to restart my blog. With all the new features, it should be alot easier!
