Windows 7 (and also Windows Server 2008 R2) goes RTM (Release to Manufacturing). This means the last version/code is locked in and the product will be available on the shelves shortly.

Window 7 will launch at retail on October 22, 2009 but current Windows Volume License customers, MSDN subscribers, and TechNet subscribers will have early access to Windows 7 and also Windows Server 2008 R2 in the coming weeks (around 6th August – based on Windows 7 team blog). I hope I can get the Windows 7 RTM from Microsoft around 6th August too.

I am actually excited about it coming out. I bought a new computer(had a friend build me one, it is crazy) and I have Windows 7 waiting for me. This will be the first time I get a piece of Tech that is new, right from the start. without waiting for the price to come down,etc..etc..I look forward to reading your review.
