Warhammer Online

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is the latest MMORPG on the market, from Mythic.

This post is a compilation of links, useful to those who are new to Warhammer Online or planning to buy one.

Despite of the hatred that I have for games where you have to pay a monthly subscription, I decided to buy Warhammer Online. I’ve been playing with my friends for more than a month now.

Feel free to pass this post to your friends who are planning to buy Warhammer Online (or if they are still a newbie on Warhammer Online :) )

Buying Warhammer Online CD Keys
I bought mine on OzCDKeys (http://www.ozcdkeys.com/). It’s legit and cheap. Just download the Warhammer Online Beta file, apply your key, and then update it (it will be updated to Warhammer Online retail version automatically).

Warhammer Online Time/Game Card
You can get it on eBay or from this site: http://www.cheapgames.com.au/warhammer-online-reckoning-month-subscription-gamecard-p-2193.html
I’ve confirmed that it works (I’ve used the gamecard that I bought from the site and applied it to my Warhammer Online account).
AUD$32.95 for 2 months of subscription is so much chaper than having to pay USD$30!
After you get the key on your email, apply the key to your Warhammer Online account. Your subscription screen doesn’t get updated until your account has expired (once your Warhammer Online account has expired, it will be automatically revewed with your time/game card, and your subscription information will be updated).

Warhammer Online Character Abilities and Career BuildersWarDB:
http://www.wardb.com/
WARDB provides an extensive knowledge base to all careers in Warhammer Online, along with other useful information about quests, items, and each class/career’s abilities.

Warhammer Online Career Discussions (and probably the best Warhammer Online Discussion Forum/Community/Message Board): http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/
A good place if you want to find out more about the careers in Warhammer and whether they are sux or not :)

Warhammer Online Australia and New Zealand Retail Box Patch: http://herald.warhammeronline.com/warherald/NewsArticle.war?id=305
(If you buy your copy of Warhammer Online retail in Australia and New Zealand, you’ll find an issue where you can’t start your Warhammer game)

Warhammer Online Emotes List:

Warhammer Online Commands List:

Warhammer Online Anti Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering:
There is no direct support from the in-game options/settings, but you can use your NVIDIA advanced control panel to force-enable both Anti Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering on Warhammer Online.

Some more NVIDIA choppy/low fps fix on Warhammer Online can be read furthere here: http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110279

Have fun playing Warhammer Online! Just don’t forget your study and also your social activities :)
