“Redesign your blog/website” contest

The guys over at Buy Templates are nice enough to sponsor prizes for this contest. I know a few of you have just started a blog or a website, so I’m sure it’ll be great if you can win some good quality templates, logo, and banners for your new blog/site. Everyone who participates will also [...]

Windows VistaFor those who are using Windows Vista and brave enough to install Service Pack 2 Public Beta, it’s available on Microsot’s Download Center. There is also  a Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 Public Beta available on the same installation file.

Important things to note:

  • You must already have the Service Pack 1 (Vista SP1)  installed in the system before applying Service Pack 2. This is a requirement from Microsoft to reduce the file size.
  • Don’t use Google Chrome browser to download because the download redirection will take you to the same page over and over :)
  • You should be able to update this beta version to the official one (or the next beta) in the future, but I’m not 100% sure as I haven’t found such information yet. If anyone can confirm this, I’d be grateful.

Vista Service Pack 2 Download Links:
For Vista 32-bit (x32) : Download Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 Beta and Windows Vista Service Pack 2 Beta – Five Language Standalone (KB948465)

For Vista 64-bit (x64) : Download Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 Beta and Windows Vista Service Pack 2 Beta – Five Language Standalone for x64-based systems (KB948465)

I’m going to download this soon and install it on my Vista machine :)  Bugfixes and performance improvements are good enough to update mine. Who’s with me?

Well it does require a bit of horsepower. How long since you’ve upgraded your computer?
