Almost too real

Almost too real

Emily (the girl on the picture), is unfortunately unreal. She is a “victim” of a new 3D modelling technology by Image Metrics, a company that was responsible in producing the animation for the Grand Theft Auto game series, Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid 3, and even movies such as Harry Potter the Order of Phoenix.

A superb work indeed.

There is also a video of Emily *ahem” talking to us about Image Metrics and their work.

The video of Emily’s “interview”:

To find out more about Emily (you can probably find her number ;) ), go to Times Online – Technology Section.

I wonder when can we see Emily and her clones on RPG games ^^ It’d be lovely to watch.

Oh yeah! You shared this through Plurk and it was super cool! :D That’s how I also found about Photosynth, Microsoft’s new free program – by clicking on one of the “Related” articles! xD But wait… this video shows more than the other one! Cool… *clicks to watch*

OK, for me it was a little weird. It’s realistic for sure, but they could make her prettier maybe. And her mouth is kinda skew.
And too wide. Her mouth freaks me out !!! :D
But my little bro is a WOW fan so I also wonder when will they reach this quality. As Blizzard said, in about 10 years, the quality of the game will be as good as now the intros. But I wonder how can they take in Emily !? :D

Hey!

This reminds me of the movie Simone! Have you seen that? That she was not true…? Maybe this is Simone’s equivalent in reality then. That is pretty cool with all these stuffs going out for real.

Wow, it would be nice to put Britney Spears out of a job! What would the paparazzi do if all actors and actresses were digital? :)
