Razer Megasoma Review

Razer Megasoma is a hybrid of a hard and a soft mouse mat; If you love the softness of a soft mat but want to have the speed of a hard mat, Razer Megasoma delivers (this is debatable and I guess more like a personal preference). Razer Megasoma sits somewhere in between, combining the best [...]

Microsoft Live Mesh

Ever get frustrated maintaining and updating documents on your home PC, work, and laptop? Then Windows Live Mesh probably has the answer.

I was invited to try out Microsoft Live Mesh (still at Beta/Tech Preview) and I can invite 2 more people to participate in the program. If you’re interested, leave a comment. First come first serve! :)
Requirement: You must already have a Windows Live ID to use Live Mesh.

What’s work @Windows Live Mesh Tech Preview:

  • You can add new device to the synchronize list, but only PCs
  • You can view your devices onlineLive Mesh Devices
  • You can create folder and upload files to the Live Desktop (Online Storage)
  • You can see some history of changes (who uploads what files, etc)Synchronization History
  • You can synchronized the files and folders between computers and Live DesktopLive Mesh Synchronization

What doesn’t work @Windows Live Mesh Preview:

  • You can’t add your mobile device yet
  • You can’t add your MAC yet (if you have one)
  • You can’t add files/folders from your computer by dragging and dropping yetDrag and Drop
  • Some history of changes are not shown (still unstable)

Honestly, it’s nothing to be excited about, yet. The features aren’t quite complete. Once at least the drag and drop support has been added, I’ll start using this to synchronize my documents (which is good for backing-up)

On the subject of file backup, sharing and storage …

Online backup is becoming common these days. It is estimated that 70-75% of all PC’s will be connected to online backup services with in the next decade.

Thousands of online backup companies exist, from one guy operating in his apartment to fortune 500 companies.

Choosing the best online backup company will be very confusing and difficult. One website I find very helpful in making a decision to pick an online backup company is:

http://www.BackupReview.info

This site lists more than 400 online backup companies in its directory and ranks the top 25 on a monthly basis.
