Titan Quest Mods

Titan Quest ModsI’ve found this site a few days ago about the PC game Titan Quest mods called Masteries. I like Titan Quest (and its expansion) a lot and somehow never get tired of replaying the game with a new different character every 6 months or so. The site I was talking about is the main site for Titan Quest mods called “Masteries”.

Titan Quest “Masteries” mods is a fan-made modification for the PC-game “TitanQuest”. This Titan Quest mod replaces the nine masteries of the original game plus adding an extra “xpack” with nine new masteries (replacing them altogether for more slashing and hacking goodness)!

Titan Quest mods Masteries

  1. Alchemy (the master for bombs and confusion)
  2. Archery (the mastery for bows)
  3. Bestiary (the mastery for pets)
  4. Chronosophy (the mastery for speed and slowing down)
  5. Close Combat (the mastery for melee weapons)
  6. Construction (the mastery for objects of all kind)
  7. Mysticism (the mastery for damage)
  8. Sorcery (the mastery for elemental damage)
  9. Vampirism (the mastery for bleeding, pierce and area attacks)

Each master will of course has its own skills, just like the Titan Quest’s original masteries. The gameplay itself hasn’t changed, only the masteries and skills being modded.

Where to download Titan Quest Masteries mod

If you feel like replaying Titan Quest (and its Immortal Throne expansion pack) all over again, check and download Titan Quest Masteries mods out for a newer fresh gameplay. At least this should satisfy your hack-and-slash cravings until Diablo 3 comes out. Titan Quest is still one of the best game after Diablo 2 so it is cool if we can all play it all over again with new classes and skills. Even with the Titan Quest: Immortal Throne expansion pack, it still is not enough to satisfy as you can finish it up in just days away.

I’ve been eager to try this Titan Quest Masteries mod out myself. If any of you have tried other Titan Quest mods, please share your experience and thoughts here! You can also search for other Titan Quest mods over at Fileplanet, I believe.

Masteries mod is great. Currently (22.04.2008) it is at version 1.2 and version 1.3 is scheduled to come soon. A balance has been made overall and I believe that 1.3 version will be very good.

Another nice mod that you can try is the AllSkins mod. It also enhances a lot the game’s experience by adding 200+ different female and male players to the game. You just have to buy a bottle on the first town of the game and choose which one you like.

More details can be found here:

If you use it and like it, please consider making an entry on your blog for it too. Or at least changing your Technorati Tags to include “AllSkins mod”

Cheers :)

Thanks for sharing your mod, lufe! I’m just about to reinstall Titan Quest + Immortal Throne again to try the masteries mod myself :)

Yours is cool too, but you can’t really see the great skins in game with all those equipments, can you?

Unfortunately, I couldnt open up the link that you gave above..

http://masteries.titanquestvault.ign.com/index.html

and I really wish to try it. Is there any trouble shoot?

Depends on the equipment you use. For example, you can see my Ailith using her OoALEJOO Fully Nude skin and wearing her choice equipments here:

With the normal skin (using a skirt) that wouldn’t look half so nice :)

Ah, a very fair statement, lufe! I’ll certainly use your mod soon. I was playing for an hour yesterday, trying the Masteries mod :D It really is something too, it makes me want to play the game all over again.

Do you happen to know a good texture/graphic mod for Titan Quest? The game still looks good, but if someone makes a better textures/effects, that’d be lovely!

I searched on the forums but didn’t really see a good one

Unfortunately there is no mod for changing texture or graphics, Michael. There is something called blood mod that shows blood when you hit monsters, another that turns off the night time… You may check the TQ Defiler SSTQDefilerFULL.zip on this page:

http://titanquestvault.ign.com/View.php?view=ToolsandEditors.Detail&id=5

It has some mods there. About new texture and graphics, though, I don’t believe there is one.

@Milos
you have to create a new folder in Titan quest folder called “custommaps”

i have a question, in the tutorial how to install it says:
Click “Custom Quest” in the main menu and then pick the “masteries ~ mainquest.map” mod. It doesn’t matter which character you use on this screen. After you selected the mod, the main-character-selection menu will open.
but what “masteries”? when i click custom quest it doesn’t appear nothing saying masteries.
