Razer Megasoma Review

Razer Megasoma is a hybrid of a hard and a soft mouse mat; If you love the softness of a soft mat but want to have the speed of a hard mat, Razer Megasoma delivers (this is debatable and I guess more like a personal preference). Razer Megasoma sits somewhere in between, combining the best [...]

Raven, a free online vector editor, released to the public

Raven Raven is the codename for Aviary’s free online vector editor. It was actually released on 9th Feb but I’ve just got the notification from the mailing list today.

The best thing though, that Raven is a free tool online. That means you don’t have to download and install anything on your computer.  You can be a great graphic designer anywhere you want, anytime you want!

Here are some of the creations from the community using Raven (PS: not my work. More here.):

Of course, you’ll still need to spend some time learning the tools and how Raven does things. If you are used to designing with one of the Adobe products, you’ll probably find plenty of features missing in a free software.

However, if you are a freelancer who is going to be away from your computer for several weeks and an internet cafe is all you’ve got, then you might want to consider learning Raven. You’ll never know when an urgent design order comes to your plate. Your client wouldn’t want to wait til you get back from holiday.

On a second thought, it’s a good idea too not to learn how to use Raven. This way, you’ll have an excuse for your nagging clients :)

To check out Raven, go to Aviary-Raven’s official page.
