Prepare to fall in love at the first sight (just don’t look at the price tag) for Dell’s new laptop, codenamed Adamo.
Dell’s Adamo laptop is actually thinner than Macbook Air (.65 inches vs .76 inches). I guess it’s a move to compete directly with Apple’s juicy and sexy looking laptops.

The laptops are available in 2 colors (the Onyx and Pearl) and you can choose the “Admire” or the “Desire”:
ADMIRE (Price: US $1,999)
- 1.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor with Centrino Technology
- Genuine (doh?) Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit
- 2 GB 800 MHz DDR3 dual-channel memory
- 128 GB Solid state drive
DESIRE (Price: US $2,699)
- 1.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Centrino Technology
- Genuine (doh?) Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit
- 4 GB 800 MHz DDR3 dual-channel memory
- 128 GB Solid state drive
- Mobile Broadband
For full specification, check out Dell’s Adamo buy now page or the official Adamo site.

why is this to expensive. Id rather buy macbook pro than this one.. no hurt feeling;)
I can’t afford that one. But will love to have it in near future.
Its very costly…
This is the great challenge with computers.
You can get an awesome desktop for amazingly cheap, or you can get a laptop that’s great for a lot more money. But the laptop has the ultimate convenience of being portable. It’s such a hard decision.
And the thin wars begin.
let the thinnest notebook wins
lol, Apple will win this war.

What the? Dell is usually equal to affordable laptop and now it also comes out with high end product.
I guess it’s being blinded by Apple’s success stories?
