In celebration of the “Gold Rush” update (a new map, gameplay, and unique item system); Team Fortress 2 is now free to play for this weekend only! (May 2 – May 4 2008)
Team Fortress 2 is available via Steam and if you have Steam installed, you can start pre-loading the game before the weekend starts!
Team Fortress 2 is a multiplayer-first person shooter-team-game.
It’s been around for a while and a lot of people have been enjoying the game so far.
The game weighs around 6.5 GB uncompressed according to a poster at Neowin forum, so you may want to start downloading straight away if you want to make it for the weekend!
I won’t be playing although I really want to. My monthly bandwidth limit has only about 3 GB left and I’m going to be busy this weekend (practice at church, go for a show on Sat night, and play some badminton on Sunday)
I am thinking to buy the game though I’ve received a lot of good feedbacks about this game from friends.
Oh well, have fun and wish I can join you in the game
PS: and please don’t start flaming the comments section with how crappy and bloaty Steam is

Sorry, too tempting.
I bought the CD version of Half-Life 5 many years ago.
Tried to install it again, got stuck at the Steam updating process. So yeah, it does sucks.
I thought Team Fortress 2 is best bought together with The Orange Box? That is like 5+1 games in one, the best package ever!
I used to spend much hours playing Team Fortress Classic.
Haven’t got the time to buy and try out Team Fortress 2.
I’d love to play games right now, but this is the busiest time of the year for 11th graders here so, I think I’ll be happy enough watching Harold and Kumar movie, =p
Well, Deimos, I rarely have time to play online games now with this “blogging business” + Entrecard’s stuffs. So I love to play Team Fortress 2, but I guess I’ll just wait for the free Battlefield Heroes ^^
So yeah, Dan, although I’m not in school anymore, it still is my busiest life ever lol but I can imagine it must have been worse for you
I feel myself so lucky that am not additive to PC Games – I never like to play them. The few i played early on were Mario and Price of Persia ( I shouldn’t tell this, I guess)
Wow..you have missed a lot of great things in your life, man! hehe
