Actually I have the 1050 but I must say that I love the Arcitec shavers. I also own a Braun series 7 pulsonic. It gets close but you have to keep shaving and keep shaving to get the job done. The Arcitec doesn't mess around. Of the two, if they both broke, I would only replace the Arcitec.

I'm sorry to hear that but nothing can beat the good old manual shaver if you really want a super clean shave. But I was honestly happy with the Arcitec last time (I'm using the Braun Pulsonic 7 now)

This thing sucks really bad. I bought the RQ1050 (same thing with simpler outlook). The precision is really bad. It leaves stray hair here and there and getting them shaved takes a lot of effort and makes my skin all read. I even tried to use shaving foam, which makes it a bit easier on the skin, but still, getting a clean shave is a nightmare. Makes me want to throw this thing to the wall! Can't use it at all, because of the frustration.

Hi Bret, I'd definitely suggest to get the Braun Pulsonic 7 instead (I have a review about it on this blog too). It's much better and gives a closer shave than the Arcitec :)

Michael, thank you for your review of the Philips 1075. I am going from a beard and traditional razor and needed some good practical insights about the Philips product. It has helped in my research and purchasing decision.
