Microsoft’s next Xbox Console, Xbox One S, finally gets an Australian release date. According to the official press release from Microsoft Australia, the Xbox One will be available in Australia on the 2nd of August 2016.

If you have pre-ordered an Xbox One S, you should get your console on that launch day as well.

The Xbox One S launch edition will come in 2TB for AUD 549 RRP in limited quantities. Fans of Gears of War series can also pre-order the Xbox One S Gears of War 4 Limited Edition 2TB Bundle for AUD 599 RRP ($50 more), but this will only be released on the 7th of October. Gears of War custom controller is also sold separately for AUD 109.95.

Xbox One S is 40% smaller than the original Xbox One and includes a built-in power supply. There is also a newly added IR blaster for increased accessibility. It is also the only console to allow you to watch Blu-ray and stream video in 4K Ultra HD with HDR. Things will definitely get prettier and better!

Xbox One S also comes bundled with the new Xbox Wireless Controller featuring textured grip, improved Xbox Wireless signal and added Bluetooth support. The controller can be purchased as a standalone item for $89.95AUD RRP and will also be available on August 2nd.

All Xbox One games, accessories and Xbox Live services will work with Xbox One S.
