Microsoft Surface in Australia – Soon (yes, before Christmas!), you will be able to buy Microsoft Surface with Windows RT in Australian retail stores. That means you can also try the Surface yourself before you take it to the counter. At the moment, Australian customers can only get the Microsoft Surface through the online store at www.surface.com
The official announcement from Microsoft Australia indicates that the Microsoft Surface will be making its way to Harvey Norman and JB Hi Fi around mid December.
It is unclear at this stage when the Microsoft Surface Pro version (with Windows 8, not Windows RT) is going to make it to Australian retail stores. We are still waiting for the official launch rumored to be in early 2013.
