Microsoft new SecondLight Technology

secondLight At recent Microsoft PDC (Professional Developers Conference) in L.A, Microsoft researchers demonstrated a variation of Microsoft Surface technology, called SecondLight.

SecondLight utilizes a touch screen technology beyond your expectation. The footage was taken live at the Conference, so you’ll occasionally hear the clapping hands every now and then.

If you’ve seen minority report, you’ll surely remember a scene when Tom Cruise interacts with a holographic touch screen using his hands. Microsoft Surface (and its variation, SecondLight) is not far from it.

Below is the footage taken from Microsoft PDC 2008 in L.A about Microsoft SecondLight:

Not sure how much will that thing cost and I certainly won’t be eager to have it at home, yet :)
