Money made online in June 2010 breakdown

  • Google AdSense $163.20
  • Private Advertisers: $148.50
  • SocialSpark: $120
  • Amazon Affiliates: $75.13
  • ASE AdNet $30.56

Total: $537.39

Last month was probably the best income I’ve ever earnt from this blog ever! I was quite surprised actually as I wasn’t really paying attention to my earnings except for the AdSense that I normally check once every day :) Really happy about this. I guess the next step is probably to find some good CPM companies (I know some of them pay around $1-2.50 per 1000 impressions). Heard TribalFusion is the best but their requirements are very high (minimum 500,000 unique visitors per month) so I always got rejected due to the lack of traffic numbers. I was also trying AffinityClick for the past couple of weeks, but each click only earnt me around 3-10 cents. Their ads are pretty good though if your site is all about products so you might want to give them a try.

And as always..still no luck in affiliate marketing except for Amazon, lol

How about your earnings last month?

That’s some impressive numbers, both traffic and income. I can’t help to wonder why you don’t seem to have a lot of comments on your posts, considering that 60k people come through here every month? Any idea what they come for, is it a few posts that rank high in Google that gets most of the traffic?

Gr8 Michael! It’s really nice numbers to read about your blog. This record proves that your blog is very popular. Wish you and your blog achieve all success! :)
I am really wondering that how Amazon ads does work? I’m already affiliated with Amazon but haven’t started to use yet.

I am considering CPM ads too. But same as you, my traffic number is still low to be accepted by the CPM companies.

Wow,you made me interested and motivated.
I advise you to start classroom sessions teaching people how to do this :)
Take me as your first student.

Nice income on amazon, that means you’ll continue to get around that much from that, sweet. I’d also like to use cpm ads but they wouldn’t accept me even though I meet the requirement, prob because of the anime niche, idk…

Good to see you doing well though :)

Yeah, let’s hope so, Dan. It depends on what people are buying and how many items they are buying though

I guess you’d better to contact other anime sites to advertise on yours, works better that way since yours is very focused

Happy to see your income :) Congratulation!

Michael,
Nice to see the stats every month, I am also similar to your numbers except income :)

you are doing great with Private Advertisers: $148.50 , how do you mange this ? is it from sponsored ads, i was having no luck with buysellads and even the other similar ones.

I got rejected from SocialSpark

Why don’t you try infolinks or kontera on your site and let me know.

Thanks
Girish

Well I got contacted by a few advertisers to put up some banners and stuffs. I was in BuySellAds too and never got any request so I took the widget out of my blog.

I tried them before (infolinks or kontera), they are not bad but I’m afraid that the link ads will annoy my readers :(

You are doing well in terms of traffic and monetizing this blog. Do you sell a lot of stuff on Amazon because I find it really hard to make money with their affiliate program.

Well, I put the Amazon ads underneath my gadget reviews and they seem to work very well. It is quite hard as you need lots of clicks going to Amazon to convert some of them

Steve Yu July 10, 2010 at 2:54 pm

Mike, I see you have put the traffic widget from marketgrid for quite some time. How many visitors that marketgrid bring in approx. every month?

Hi Steve, good question. Try to look at the Referring sites breakdown screenshot again on the post ;)

Your income source looks very diverse, which I think is a good thing. How did you make so much with SocialSpark. All my qualified opportunities are only offering few bucks per post.

You need to be quicker sometimes, Vincent. Often a tech post can give you $37-80 for the first few and then get changed to $10-ish after. I remember a post about the iPhone app that gave me $50 for the post. A day after, the opportunity has been changed to $5 I think?

Wow this puts my £106.00 firmly in the shade. :P

I have a very good feeling about this month though. :)
