A step closer to Firefox 3.6 official release, Mozilla allows a public download to its Alpha 1 release, codenamed Namoroka. Namoroka is built on pre-release version of the Gecko 1.9.2 platform.
The Namoroka Alpha version introduces:
- Compositor (Phase 1), which moves Gecko to using one native widget per top-level content document. See this blog post or bug 374980 for more details.
- A new focus model, described here and tracked in bug 178324
- The chromedir attribute has been replaced with a pseudoclass
- Several new CSS3 properties including background size and gradients for background images
- Speed improvements to the TraceMonkey JavaScript engine
- Startup and responsiveness improvements throughout the application
If you can stand occasional crashes and non-working plug-ins, feel free to download Firefox 3.6 Alpha 1 and give it a try
Download page can be found on Firefox 3.6 Alpha 1 release post.

Firefox seems to be releasing new versions left and right. Maybe some other browsers should follow the example.
Well Opera and Chrome release updates quite often (assuming you are on the Chrome dev channel)
Well I think Megaphase was talking about IE, but I prefer firefox. However with the latest update my theme has stopped working which is sad. Hopefully the developer of Old Factory rust edition will get an update.
