Wow, that is quite a strong statement. I'm sure there's something wrong with your Dyson unit. Because it is by far the best vacuum with sucking power I've ever had. I have 3 other friends bought Dyson too because of my recommendations

Maybe you should try exchanging the unit? I'm really curious!

I have a dyson vacuum cleaner and it's by far the worst vacuum cleaner I've ever owned! Every time I use it, it makes strange frightening noises and doesn't have hardly any sucking power. It's also hard to manoevre and take apart. Complex and ugly to look at, too, I would rather buy another make, even if I had to spend quite a bit more. I usually am better off using a dustpan and brush. I works better. But it's the very poor sucking power that really annoys me.

Hm I think the best way is for you to see the unit yourself on a shop. I'm living in a 2 bedroom apartment and I love using the vacuum. Even though it's smaller, the suction power is so great that it's not funny :)

We recently started receiving the DC22 with Dyson's "brushless digital motor" down here in the states, and I am considering returning my DC25 Ball for a DC22 instead. However, I was wondering how small the power nozzle really is. It is noticeably tiny? I am living in a four bedroom apartment, so I'm guessing this may fit my needs...it's just the 9" wide power nozzle that makes me hesitate to make the switch (it's 9" wide according to Dyson US specs....I have yet to see on in person). Does it also feel too light to the point where it wont deep clean deep pile carpets? Thanks, Keith.

Yup. People should improve and enhance existing concepts more than creating new ones every year
