Razer Megasoma Review

Razer Megasoma is a hybrid of a hard and a soft mouse mat; If you love the softness of a soft mat but want to have the speed of a hard mat, Razer Megasoma delivers (this is debatable and I guess more like a personal preference). Razer Megasoma sits somewhere in between, combining the best [...]

soundSnap It’s the end of the year again and that means another great and fun Christmas play again coming in our church. During this time of the year, I usually have to crawl around the web, looking for background music, sound effects, and loops for the Christmas play multimedia.

I’m certainly glad to find this site, Soundsnap.com, that has thousands (yes thousands) of great free high quality sound effects and loops.

SoundSnap is FREE

Is Soundsnap free? Absolutely. It is because the sound files are created and uploaded by its own members. You are free to use all sound files downloaded at SoundSnap, even for your commercial projects. According to its FAQ, the only thing that you are not allowed is if you compile the files onto a CD and sell it for a profit, which is fair enough.

Searching for your perfect sound and music files

At Soundsnap, you can either get your free sound and music files by browsing through the categories:

categories

or by searching for specific keywords on the Search field on top of the page.

You can then listen to the sound online (stream) before you decide to download the file. The sound files are in standard sound formats (mp3, wav, and aiff for Mac) which guarantee that you can use/play these free sound files on any program. Each files are titled, tagged, rated, and can also be commented.

If you think that you can contribute to the community, feel free to register at soundsnap.com and start uploading your own creations. Just be sure to read the FAQ thoroughly about what kind of files that you can upload and other requirements.

steam

Soundsnap is perfect if you are making a Flash movie/animation, an animated web site, multimedia presentations, or any projects that require sound effects and/or background loops. Don’t be fooled by the “user submission” thing. All sounds (at least the ones that I’ve tried to listen) are in high quality and no where sound amateurish.

If you are looking for a free high quality sound effects and background loop music, look no further than Soundsnap.com! Have fun!

This is just awesome I have been searching for something like this for a long time.

We sometimes edit videos and presentations and always run into a problem with getting the right sound clip or effects and not be bothered by any legal issues.

Yeah sometimes it’s unclear as to which files can be used and which ones can’t (on the net, I mean)
