Just now I saw the update news when I opened my Steam, that you can start pre-ordering Battlefield Bad Company 2 on Steam for US$49.95! Now, I was hoping that they would have the 4-pack as well, but it looks like we may have to wait a bit longer (or maybe there isn’t any 4-pack at all?
). If you pre-order Battlefield Bad Company 2 now, you will get access to the closed Beta on 28th January 2010 which is next week!
If you don’t know what this game is all about, check out a few videos here that will make you drool.

I have never preordered a steam game before, and I am considering doing it now. I know I want this game. If preordered after the start of the beta but before the end, do you still get the beta?
I’m not sure about that info. Most people say you need to pre-order to get to the closed beta. But when the beta starts, I have no idea. There is going to be an open beta/demo though coming in Feb, so if you don’t want to pre-order, feel free to wait.
Or they also say you can pre-order and cancel it, but not sure whether it’s do-able when the game has a beta
Being a big fan of Battlefield 2142 and Battlefield 2, I was annoyed beyond belief to see that the original Battlefield: Bad Company was console only. Seeing as this is on steam, I’ll be very torn between this and Mass Effect 2.
Well they are completely different game
If you are longing for an RPG, go for Mass Effect 2 but Bad Company 2 is a bad-ass online FPS multiplayer
This game is going to be great. If you notice all noises and background effects are all things that are actaully happening.
I can’t wait for the retail code version
It’s quite poorly optimized on the beta at the moment
I am wondering of other people are as disappointed in Steam as I am. Bad Company 2 is available today for people in the U.S. and we have to wait an extra 12 hours to begin the download on Steam. Makes no sense at all to have a download service that actually takes longer than going to the store and buying it. So I paid the same amount as retail just to have to wait longer and I get no physical product to boot. Really annoyed with Steam right NOW.
