PIMBackup, is a FREE application that can backup your Pocket PC contacts, appointments, SMS, emails, etc. It’s simple to use and best of all, it’s free!
I used this tool when transferring my contacts, etc from my mini O2 to my new HTC P3600i. This is a good alternative for Sprite Backup or SPB Backup. It won’t give you a full system backup, so if that is what you want, then you may need to purchase SPB Backup or Sprite Backup (or other backup software)

HAVE JUST PURCHASED THE htc P3600I AND WONDERED IF YOU HAVE HEARD OF A LONGER LASTING BATTERY – READ ABOUT IT ON ONE PAGE BUT CANNOT FIND THE PAGE AGAIN. aLSO, CAN i USE A 4GB MINI SD CARD OR DOES THE PHONE LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF EXT MEMORY (1 OR 2 GB)?

I’m not Joe, but I can certainly tell that you can use a 4 Gb Mini SD card on the phone
With the battery, you can always buy a newer and longer lasting battery than the one that you’ve got
