AVG is popular although the fact that their scanner feature may be putting off some people (especially those with slow internet connections).

Hi Vicki, Since I don't use it at the moment, I can't really help much. What email client are you using? Does AVG support it? You can probably post in their forum and ask about it there. Certainly is much cheaper than paying $150!!

I have just downloaded AVG 8, free version,
everything tells me it’s working and yet even though it’s set to show the icon in the lower right hand corner that shows it’s scanning mail and is also set to show certification at the bottom of the email,it’s not happening and when I go to the email section of AVG, it tells me that that zero emails have been scanned and there have been been at least a dozen emails come and gone yet no verification of it, I would have to assume that even though everything is telling me it’s up to date and working…….it’s not.
if anyone could suggest something I would appreciate it.

ps. I even got a tech up today and one hundred and five dollars later he left and had no idea what else he could do to fix it.
