Razer Megasoma Review

Razer Megasoma is a hybrid of a hard and a soft mouse mat; If you love the softness of a soft mat but want to have the speed of a hard mat, Razer Megasoma delivers (this is debatable and I guess more like a personal preference). Razer Megasoma sits somewhere in between, combining the best [...]

Add Windows Live Messenger Toolkit to your site

Windows Live Messenger Developer KitThe developers at Microsoft Live Services released the Windows Live Messenger Toolkit yesterday.

The toolkit basically allows you as a webmaster (or blogger) to add controls and libraries to enable Windows Live Messenger users to connect, use, and chat on your site.

To web owners, it means that you are making it easier for people to bring their WLM friends to your site using the widget. You also allow them to chat with each other on your site (although I fail to see why it isn’t easier to chat on the client itself).

Adding this functionality to your site/blog unfortunately is not a copy paste job. You need to read the manuals and know some programming knowledge in either C#, Visual Basic .NET, Java, Perl, PHP, Python, or Ruby.

Nevertheless, if you think that your site is going to reap the benefits, feel free to read more on Live Services blog post.

Is this a new dimension in chatboards? It must be pretty tough to equal this one as Microsoft is way beyond over the other 2 but I believe they can still make it big there. I hope.

Nice post Michael. I think there’s a huge potential here. Do you know if anything out there is being developped to allow users to add this in a simple manner to a Wordpress page? Like a plugin?

Not that I know of. But again, it’s still new, so let’s wait and hope someone will write a Wordpress plug-in for this

I couldn’t agree with you more. I am also hoping for this to come a soon as possible because it’s really a good concept to look in to.
