Why you should guest post at Craving Tech

First of all, thank you for your interest in writing for Craving Tech. If you are still considering whether you should do a guest post at Craving Tech, you probably want to read the About page. Craving Tech gets a good amount of traffic and being watched by the big brands in the technology industry. That means your contributions at Craving Tech are deemed valuable and will be noticed by people around the globe.

Topics considerations

I’m still limiting the number of guest postings here at Craving Tech but if you can contribute articles that are useful to my readers, then I’ll definitely consider them. I still want to control some topics such as blogging tips and reviews to be written by myself but there are other topics that you can write for Craving Tech such as:

  • Latest news or updates (this will be a quite simple and straightforward article)
  • Comment or coverage about a topic (technology, social media, internet service, etc)
  • How-to or tutorial posts

If you have other topics in mind, feel free to let me know as I may consider it to be published as well.

Please do not guest post about paid products or services (or posts that promote your client’s). Do not post to get an SEO optimized keyword link for your client. I only allow author links that point to your own blog or website.

It’d be best to contact me with the topic you are planning to cover first before you write the article. This way, I can at least approve or reject the topic quickly (or give recommendations). Note that I have the rights to approve or reject your article submission. Feel free to approach other bloggers so you can still use that rejected article at least somewhere else and your effort was not in vain.

Articles guidelines

Please make sure that:

  • You have checked the article for spelling and grammatical errors
  • The article is written by you
  • The article is unique (never been published before) and will only be published here at Craving Tech
  • The article has a minimum of 300 words
  • If you use images on your posts, please make sure it’s not copyrighted
  • No affiliate links

How to submit your article

Please email me your draft (either in a plain text file, Microsoft Word, body text in the email, or anything) and once I approve it, I’ll post it under a “Guest Contributor” account. I’ll also add in the beginning of your posts that the post is guest written by you. Feel free to send me a description of yourself and/or your blog/site (No porn, warez, or gambling related please). You are allowed to have 1 link and up to 70 words to introduce yourself.

If I like your posts and if you are thinking to guest post more frequently, please let me know so I can add you as a Contributor. This way, you have your own WordPress editing area where you can submit your posts there to be approved. Your author’s biography will also appear at the bottom of your posts like this:

Author biography

I definitely want you to be a frequent Contributor here at Craving Tech so as long as you write good articles and have good attitudes, it should be fine!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me through the Contact page. Looking forward to see your articles here in this blog!

This is great news. Remember I have been behind you on Twitter to start allowing guest blogging. At last, you’ve decided on it. I’m glad. Thank you so much Michael. :)

I’m sure your decision will work wonders for CravingTech. It’s harmless as long as you have the moderation power with yourself – that’s the protection shield for you. :) I really wish good luck to your sturdy decision and CT.

Yes, that’s true :)

I was more afraid of my readers’ reaction but judging from your replies and also others through Twitter, no one has given me a negative feedback so far. Thanks, I’m excited to see the future of CT, heh heh

Your tweet said “Okay, I guess I have to re-do my guest post submission guidelines some time tonight”. What happened?

Michael Aulia August 10, 2011 at 10:26 pm

Just found out a bunch of “guest posters” where in fact, they are just article marketers or people who just want a free SEO link for their clients.

Don’t worry, you clearly have a blog and I’d be happy to accept your guest posts :)

Abdulqader Kapadia August 11, 2011 at 2:18 am

Ah! That’s sad. You can keep the article and just remove their link. :D

Thanks a lot Michael and I am definitely looking forward to write something good for CT … pretty soon.

Hi Michael (down under),
Just checking you out after seeing your bid for an article I had up in MBG, (accepted it btw).

I belong to a small group of people providing high quality Guest Articles, and we have a software/database of Blog Owners to where each user can contribute potential blogs.

These writers are all trained in doing this the “right way”, and you could expect very high quality, likely 800+ words articles being offered. The offerings would all be by personal contact via your “contact” page.

If you’d like me to input your details into our database, I’d be happy to do so. Just drop me an email.

~Bruce
