There are thousands of new applications launched every single day, and it’s hard to keep up with the continuous stream of new ideas. Social networking/social media based applications are amongst the largest collection of apps available to smartphone users today.

In fact, there are so many social networking platforms, we thought we’d compile a list of those we believe to be the most crucial to the every day user, and with the most potential for 2016.

On the platform, ‘Social Artist’s’ can be subscribed to for a small price, which enables the user to view the Social Artist’s updates for that month (on a recurring monthly fee). Social Artists can also post to a public wall to gain traction, offer virtual services for money, or add private images and/or videos on a pay-per-download basis.

Messaging may also cost users, however the price to message is in the control of the Social Artist. Any user can also refer other friends for monetary rewards. The network is still young but has enormous potential once it gains more exposure. Currently, ezyShot is only available on Android devices and via their website, but will be available to iOS users in the coming months.

Facebook offers a wide range of ways in which you can earn money. For starters, it certainly helps that Facebook has 1.65 billion active users, with hundreds of millions of users using the network very regularly.

If you are a trying to sell a product, Facebook allows you to create a customized advert, specifically target your key audience and boost posts to whoever you like. You might also like to create an ad for your company’s affiliate marketing landing page.

Like Facebook, users can advertise their products on Twitter. Alternatively, did you know you can actually charge businesses to tweet about them? Of course you will need to have a substantial following and/or a strong connection to the specific product, but nevertheless something to keep in mind.

Twitter’s powerful search engine also allows you to track down potential customers based on what they’re tweeting.

Foap allows users to upload their photos and sell them for $10 each. The company receives half of the money earned from each sale and then the remaining 50% is transferred to the users account.

If you’ve ever struggled to stay committed to your exercise regime – Pact could be a good option for you. Basically, you commit to a particular fitness goal and an amount you’re prepared to pay if you fail to achieve those goals. If you achieve them, you are paid by members who failed to achieve their own goals.

Unfortunately the stakes aren’t overly high and you’re unlikely to earn yourself a great deal of cash, but nevertheless a good idea to keep healthy.
